I will be catching up with two of my business contacts and getting a clearer wiifm. Plus I will be creating a marketing email for the Star Pics.

I am looking forward to the next year being a bumper one for myself and all those who are attached in sme way.

I wish you a very prosperous year ahead and for many more to come afterwards.

keynote

Thanks for dropping in,

Last weeks speaker was Karen Schmidt. Karens message was abouhaving a F.R.E.S.H approach to what you are doing or trying to achieve. Plus have a bit of life around the staff. Especially wen trading in retail. I know some people just eon't want to be where they are working. On the weekend Vic and I dropped into a Maccas for breakfast because we were in a hurry after a work out. The young lady behind the counter had no life about her. I could hear through her voice she hated her job. The thing is no other person in that restaurant had any life about them either. No laughter small conversation. Jokes or humour. Not even a conversation between the staff.

When we are young we are told continuoesly not to talk to strangers. All of a sudden Maccas comes along with their training system. Young people from around 15 are given a job where they have to interact with adults and other people of all ages, atitudes and aptitudes to service. They live in a state of fear till they realise, eventually that these people won't come back if they do not recieve the service they feel they expect.

Till next time,
Brian

Hi there,
Thanks for dropping in.

Last week we at Brisbane Business SWAP had the pleasure of John Mulvey presenting.

Let me think of the message I recieved. Remove the word "should" from your language when you are looking to achieve something, or you wish for another person to participate in something outside of their liking. Maybe liking, is not the word. Maybe it is steering the person to do what you deem necessary.

The questions you ask to understand another need to be improved. Take away the harsh direct words and change them to the softer ones. What, how, when, who, why.

Then there is the quote I will be using this week to once again take the glory of the Thoughts Judges prize. "Say what you think. However, think before you say!"

We all have things to say to some people that may not seem flattering at the time. However, with a little thought will encourage the right response to turn around the situation. Which in some cases can be quite nasty. But some things need to be said for some people to get the picture.

John Mulvey's website is;

Just remembered John believes you shouldn't take life to serious. Juggle. anybody can do it. Just remember to throw the balls past your line of sight.

See you at breakfast;

रिलेशनशिप Enhancer

VIPAS provides a telephone service for you to enhance the relationship with your customers and clients. As we all know; It's easier to have clients returning who have used your services where you have kept and nurtured the relationship. In turn those clients who remember who you are, how you have treated them, will market your business on your behalf FREE OF CHARGE...

You provide a contact list. I contact those business people by telephone on your behalf. Asking about the experiences of the person with your product or service. Placing the comments(Good and bad) on the spreadsheet which is returned at the end of the campaign.Some of these answers you may not recieve when the employee makes the follow-up contact.

The bonus of utilising a service which is not able to answer any questions on behalf of your business; All I can do is listen to the comments and place them on the spreadsheet. Whether that be flattering or not. Remember, I can't actually answer any questions or pass on any suggestions to the person on the other end of the phone about your service or product.

We all seem to have a warm and fuzzy feeling about the clients who we have now. However, sometimes there are underlying concerns that may not arise due to business owners being polite or embarrassed. I have had clients who have used my service, recieved the spreadsheet. Noticed some unflattering comments. Contacted those businesses in a timely manner. SUGGESTED, you do not contact those people straight away. As damage may be undo-able. Queried the reasons behind the comments returned. Addressed the issue where both parties come to an agreement. In most circumstances those of my clients have won the business back, with requests for extra services or product.

What to do now....

Contact me via e-mail or telephone. Let's discuss how I can enhance the relationship with your past and present clients and customers. We are all facing a tough time ahead with the current global economic crisis. I urge you to saviour the relationships you have with your present and past clients and customers.

Hey there,

I am glad you dropped into this page. This morning Brisbane Business SWAP had Ian Berry present a keynote. the message was primarily;
"What good leaders can and what bad leaders can't"

Ian used the story-info-story-info technique to make his point. I feel Ian's message was to look after your employees and they will look aftr you. Plus family are very close to his heart. It's nice to be successful. However, family must be a part of the success.

The newspaper article appeared in this weeks paper. if you know of someone who has a South City News copy in the Brisbane South area lookit up.

I can email you a scanned copy. Just as soon as I get one done for myself.

Have a great weekend.

Fundraiser, वेस्टर्न रेड ceder

You may not know this, I am involved in a fundraiser. I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, March next year. This is for the Prevent Blindness Foundation. The money will be going towards Macular Degeneration Research.
www.pbf.org.au

I created a vase shaped bowl. The money raised from the sale will be fully donated toward the charity.

The item is a laminated western Red Ceder Bowl I created on a laithe. This bowl is unique because it is two bowls glued together and finished with sand paper. The shape is something I had been toyng with for a while. But it took a while to grasp it to create what I was looking for.

I wish to thank Sarah Logue of Super Cruz for the assistance to place this item on Ebay. www.supercruz.com.au

फ्रिदय २४,१०,०८ Keynote

I am still learning to use this Blog. Finding features all the time.
I attend Brisbane Business SWAP each Friday morning. BBS is a networking group in Brisbane. The purpose is to foster the professional and personal development of the members.
www.brisbane.businessswap.com.au

This morning the keynote speaker was Danny Undrwood, the Managing Director of DANLEY Constructions. Telstra Business of the Year Award winner of 2007. Danny’s speech was about passion he has for his family, staff and all of the people who surround him. Danny’s passion came through so many times when speaking about family. Especially when it came to “Mum”.

www.danley.com.au
Danny and Wife Lesley had a dream and a passion for the products the company produce and provide for the building industry.

If you have got the hard stuff and don’t want it to fall over or crack. DANLEY Construction Products will do it!!!(This is my quote)

Something about Danny speaking you know it will come from the heart. All natural, sounding unscripted. Danny knows the journey he has taken the staff on through the 20 years the company has been in production. Danny loves good humour and music. We will be having Danny back again sometime next year.

This was created this morning;
Think of the Beatles.

All you need is a product.
All you need is clients.
All you need is a dream, dream.
A dream is all you need.

When Danny was the President for BBS, he couldn’t win a “Thought of the Day” prize. Which is a mug sponsored by Red Day Coaching.
This morning Danny won the mug with;
How do you find a needle in a hay stack? With a match.

Nothing like a bit of humour to finish off the Blog.
See you soon. Brian info@vipas.biz

ब्रिंस १० मुनिते Keynote

I am going to try and add a video that was created at the Boot Camp run by Ian Harveyand John Shackleton. This happened last year.

क्लाइंट Relations

A business tip for you. Only if you wish to use it.
It is so simple you won't believe it. Four telephone calls per day. That's it. You contact four of your previous clients a day. Just make contact.

Keeping the relationship will save you mountains of money on marketing. Plus if these people remember who you are they will do the word of mouth, for you. I haven't worked out why so many businesses are pushing so hard to find new clients all of the time. Especially when you have had clients who have drifted. Yes, I understand some of those who have drifted are not worth ringing. However, they may know of someone who can use, or is intensely looking for a business like yours to ease the stress!!!!!

Do you have employees? Great... Get them to do the same. Let's do the maths. You are making four calls a day, plus you have three employees in the office. You + Three staff each making four calls a day equals 16 calls a day. Multiply this by five, which is the number of days n a week. Presto,,, your business has contacted 80 people. NOW WHAT WILL THAT DO TO THE BOTTOM LINE........................

Just imagine some of those coming back due to you taking the up front aproach and making contact. Several of those contracts return. All you have done is participated in 15 minutes of marketing per day and increased your client relations.

If this works for you. What about remunerating me for my tip. I will trust you to contact me and tell me how successful the calls were. Iwill leave it up to you to get back.

How about you flick me a nice fat 5% on the profit gain from these people coming back. I am in Brisbane, Queensland

फ्रिदय्स breakfast

This morning at Brisbane Business SWAP we had James Mcnamara present the ways of knowing and understanding the other persons in your business. Even though James was using a white board, I was able to interperet what profile of person he was referring.

As James informed us there are several hundred profiling programs out there. You just need to find the one that matches what you can relate. If you are an animal person. You may wish to discuss the profiling that has eagles, turkeys and penguins. Or if you are a automobile lover you may wish to hear about trucks and Mercedes Benz.

I enjoyed the presentation as I usually do. I have a liking for the keynotes that are filled with content. It seems to keep my mind awake. Now that I am the Speaker Seeker for the club. If I don't get it right I will work it out on the way. I find it very unfortunate for the members and guests who don't attend, due to the fact I and the other people who are there think as to what the people who are not there miss out.
